A latest tablet Acer Iconia One 8 (2018) passed the FCC certification with leaked specifications. According to the FCC listing , the device Acer Iconia One 8 (2018) will come with an 8-inch display with the resolution of 1,280 x 800 pixels, 1GB RAM, internal storage capacity of 16GB . It will be powered by MediaTek MT6781A chipset with a 1.3 GHz processor.
The device will feature an 8-megapixel rear camera and a front-facing camera of 2-megapixel. It is powered by 4,500mAh battery.
Connectivity wise, it will include 3.5mm audio jack, Bluetooth 4.0, Wi-Fi 802.11 b/g/n and GPS. The device will be announced at MWC 2018 and it will be available at around $150.
Its predecessor Iconia One 8 B1-850 was launched in January, 2016 and it features an 8-inch (1280×800 pixels) HD IPS display and is powered by MediaTek MT8163 quad-core processor. The tablet runs on Android 5.1 Lollipop. In the rear side of the tablet it has a 5MP camera without LED flash and in the front side it has a 2MP camera for video calling and selfie lovers. Connectivity wise the device it will have a Wi-Fi only and Bluetooth, GPS/A-GPS and microUSB port with OTG functionality. The device comes with 1GB RAM and 16GB of internal storage which can be further expanded up to 128GB through a microSD card slot and a 4600mAh battery which is promised to offer up to 9 hours on a single charge.
It is noted that the tablet has also Kids Center app for kids-friendly user interface and also has parental control features to limit the usage of the tablet for the children. The tablet is equipped with other unique features like, EZ WakeUP that helps in opening a pre-selected app with just one-touch and double taps.
