According to the latest rumor, the successor of the device Xiaomi Mi Max 2 namely Xiaomi Mi Max 3 is likely to be announced in the second quarter of 2018. It will come with a display of 7.0-inch (1080 x 2160 pixels) with a 18:9 aspect ratio. It will have two versions; the one will be powered by a Snapdragon 630 SoC with 4GB of RAM and 32GB internal storage space, while its higher version will be powered by a Snapdragon 660 SoC chipset with 4GB of RAM and 64GB/ 128GB storage capacity. It will be powered by a massive 5,500mAh battery.
Its predecessor Xiaomi Mi Max 2 has a unibody metal design with 6.44-inch (1920 x 1080 pixels) Full HD IPS 2.5D curved glass display with 450nits brightness, 1000 : 1 contrast ratio, 72% NTSC color gamut, Corning Gorilla Glass 3 protection. It has 4GB RAM, 32/64GB internal storage, expandable memory with microSD. The device is powered by 2GHz Octa-Core Snapdragon 625 14nm processor with Adreno 506 GPU and runs on MIUI 8 based on Android 7.1.1 (Nougat). It has Hybrid Dual –SIM functionality, dimension of 174.1×88.7×7.6mm and weighs 211g.
It has 12MP rear camera with dual-tone LED Flash, PDAF, f/2.2 aperture, Sony IMX386 sensor, 1.25μm pixel size and a front-facing camera of 5MP with 85-degree wide-angle lens, f/2.0 aperture. It features a Fingerprint sensor, infrared sensor.
Connectivity wise, it includes 4G VoLTE, Wi-Fi 802.11ac (2.4 / 5GHz) MIMO, Bluetooth 4.2, GPS + GLONASS, USB Type-C and supports 3.5mm audio jack, stereo speakers.
It is powered by a huge 5300mAh battery with support for Qualcomm Quick Charge 3.0 along with parallel charging that lets the users to charge the phone up to 68% in one hour.
