A couple of months ago, a series of images, specifications and the cost of the latest affordable device Xiaomi Redmi 5 leaked via a Weibo tipster. Now the device Xiaomi Redmi 5 with the model number MDT1 and MDE1 received the 3C certification in China. The information was revealed by MyDrivers via GizmoChina and also added that the device Xiaomi Redmi 5 will come with a display of 5.7-inch HD+ with the resolution of 720 x 1280 pixels with 18:9 aspect ratio. It will be powered by Qualcomm Snapdragon 450 processor. It will feature a rear camera of 8MP and a front-facing camera of 6MP. Also the device Redmi 5 Plus revealed in render with FullView screen recently.
According to the latest rumor, the device Xiaomi Redmi 5 will come in two versions including the first with a Snapdragon 625 with 2GHz CPU and 3GB of RAM and the second with Snapdragon 630 packing 4GB of RAM and a 2.2GHz processor. Storage will be 16GB/32GB for the 3GB model and 64GB for the 4GB model. Both come with the option of microSD expansion and dual-SIM support. It will run on Android 7.1.1 Nougat. The device Xiaomi Redmi 5 will feature a 5-inch full-HD display. It will include a rear camera of 16MP and a front-facing camera of 5MP. It will be powered by a 3680mAh battery.
The cost of the device Redmi 5 Plus is still unconfirmed, but it is expected that it will cost 999 Yuan (~$151) while the 3GB RAM with 16GB internal memory version of the Redmi 5 will be available at 799 Yuan and its 2GB RAM with 32GB internal memory will cost 899 Yuan ($136).
There is expectation that the company will announce both the devices Xiaomi Redmi 5 and Redmi 5 Plus in coming days.
