Recently, the user manual of the device Samsung Galaxy Tab Active 2 leaked with specifications. Now the Samsung Galaxy Tab Active 2 rugged tablet announced. It is the successor of the Samsung Galaxy Tab Active that was launched in September, 2014.
The Samsung Galaxy Tab Active2 comes with 8.0-inch (1280 x 800 pixel) WXGA TFT display, 3GB RAM, 16GB internal memory, expandable memory up to 256GB with microSD. It is powered by 1.8GHz Octa-core Samsung Exynos 7870 processor with Mali T830 GPU and runs on Android 7.1 (Nougat). It has certified by MIL-STD-810 to make it safe from excessive pressure, temperatures, environments, vibration and drops. It has 1.2m anti-shock inbox protective cover, IP68 water and dust resistance and better display touch mode for gloved and wet touch. It has S Pen stylus support (IP68 Certified, 4096 Pressure Level, Air Command). It has the dimension of 127.6 x 214.7 x 9.9mm and weighs 415g (Wi-Fi) / 419g (LTE). It comes with biometric authentication including a new fingerprint scanner with more improved security option.
It has an 8MP auto focus rear camera with LED flash and a front-facing camera of 5MP.
Connectivity wise, it features 4G LTE (Optional), Wi-Fi 802.11 ac (2.4GHz+5GHz), Bluetooth 4.2, GPS / GLONASS, NFC, USB 2.0 Type C and it is powered by 4,450mAh (User-replaceable) battery.
The users can get the device Samsung Galaxy Tab Active2 in Black color, but the cost of the device is still unconfirmed. It will be available from this month in selected retailers.
