A series of images, specifications and the cost of the latest affordable device Xiaomi Redmi 5 leaked via a Weibo tipster. According to the Weibo tipster, the device Xiaomi Redmi 5 will come in two versions including the first with a Snapdragon 625 with 2GHz CPU and 3GB of RAM and the second with Snapdragon 630 packing 4GB of RAM and a 2.2GHz processor. Storage will be 16GB/32GB for the 3GB model and 64GB for the 4GB model. Both come with the option of microSD expansion and dual-SIM support. It will run on Android 7.1.1 Nougat. The device Xiaomi Redmi 5 will feature a 5-inch full-HD display. It will include a rear camera of 16MP and a front-facing camera of 5MP. It will be powered by a 3680mAh battery. It will be the successor of the Xiaomi Redmi 4 that was launched in India on May, 2017.
The tipster also revealed that for the device Xiaomi Redmi 5, the users will have to pay CNY 1,039 (roughly Rs. 10,000) for the 3GB RAM and 32GB storage and CNY 1,099 (roughly Rs. 10,500) for the 4GB RAM and 64GB storage.
The device Xiaomi Redmi 4 in metallic frame features 5-inch (1280 x 720 pixels) HD 2.5D curved glass display, 2GB RAM with 16GB storage, 3GB RAM with 32GB storage, 4GB RAM with 64GB storage version, expandable memory up to 128GB with microSD. It is powered by 1.4GHz Octa-Core Snapdragon 435 processor with Adreno 505 GPU and runs on Android 6.0 (Marshmallow) based MIUI 8. It has Hybrid Dual-SIM functionality. The device comes with the dimension of 139.24 x 69.96 x8.65 mm and weighs 150g. It has a fingerprint sensor on its back and also offers Infrared sensor.
It has a 13MP rear camera with f/2.0 aperture, 5P lens, PDAF, LED Flash and a 5MP front-facing camera with f/2.2 aperture.
Connectivity wise, it features 4G VoLTE, WiFi 802.11 b/g/n, Bluetooth 4.2, GPS and it is powered by 4100mAh battery.
