A couple of days ago, the smartphone manufacturer LG launched its latest device LG Stylo 3 Plus in the US at $225 (approx. Rs 14,477). Now the company announced one more device LG X Venture in the ‘X Series’.
It features a QuickButton on the side which allows for easier interaction with the phone while wearing gloves or in wet or muddy environments. It works differently depending on how it’s pressed — short press for Outdoor Essentials, long press for settings and double press to toggle Glove Mode to recognize screen taps and swipes with gloved fingers. It comes with IP68 ratings for water and dust resistance and also passed 14 MIL-STD 810G tests , which is designed for the U.S. military, and makes it resistant to extreme temperatures, shock and water, and can be immersed in 1.5m of water for up to 30 minutes.
The device also features Outdoor Essentials, a multi-purpose application with six useful tools in a single application that includes a active lifestyle app with barometer, compass, activity counter (steps/calories/distance), exercise tracker, weather reporter and flashlight.
The device LG X Venture sports 5.2-inch (1080 x 1920 pixels) Full HD display, 2GB LPDDR3 RAM, 32GB internal storage, expandable memory with microSD. It is powered by Octa-Core Snapdragon 435 processor with Adreno 505 GPU and runs on Android 7.0 (Nougat). It has the dimension of 154.0 x 75.8 x 9.29mm and weighs 166.5g and also features a Fingerprint sensor on the front of the device.
It comes with 16MP rear camera with LED Flash and a front-facing camera of 5MP with 120-degree wide angle lens.
Connectivity wise, it features 4G VoLTE, WiFi 802.11 ac, Bluetooth 4.2 LE, GPS / GLONASS. It is powered by 4100mAh battery with Quick Charge 2.0.
The users can get the device LG X Venture in Black and Brown colors .The Company will first make it available in the U.S. from 26th May at the cost of about $330 (Rs. 21,375 approx.). Also the users have the option to get the device by paying $11 per month for 30 months.
The device will be available globally in coming weeks including Europe, Asia, Africa, the Middle East and Latin America.
