A latest rumor surfaced on the web that the upcoming device Asus ZenFone AR is likely to launch in US in July and the company will make it available in Taiwan in mid-June. Since, it will be powered by Google’s Tango augmented reality (AR) technology and also supported by Google Daydream VR technologies.
As we know the Tango is a technology platform developed by Google that uses computer vision to enable mobile devices, such as smartphones and tablets, to detect their position relative to the world around them without using GPS, while Daydream is Google’s take on the high-quality mobile VR experience.
The device Asus ZenFone AR will sport a 5.7-inch WQHD Super AMOLED display with the resolution of 2560×1440 pixels, 8GB of RAM.
There is also expectation that it will come with a 6GB of RAM and storage capacity of 32GB to up to 256GB.
It will feature a 23-megapixel Sony IMX318 rear camera, with usual Tango sensors for motion tracking and depth sensing. It will also support TriTech+ autofocus system, dual-PDAF, second-gen Laser Focus, and continuous focus. It will also support 4-axis OIS (optical image stabilization) as well as 3-axis EIS (electronic image stabilization) for video recording along with the support for 4K video recording and also it will have a front-facing camera of 8MP. It will be powered by a 3,300mAh battery.
The smartphone will be powered by Snapdragon 835 processor and runs on the Android 7.0 Nougat and supports Hi-Res Audio, DTS virtual surround sound, and a 5-magnet speaker.
The cost of the device is still not confirmed by the company yet.
