For the first time, the Sony Xperia XA1 was officially announced at MWC 2017. Now it has gone official in Hong Kong. The device will be available in White, Black, Gold, and Pink colour options and its price is HK$2,498 or about US$320 which is approximately Rs 20,858.
The Xperia XA1 features a 5-inch HD (720×1280 pixel) display with Corning Gorilla Glass protection and is powered by a MediaTek Helio P20 Octa Core 64bit (Quad core 2.3GHz + Quad core 1.6GHz) processor. It runs on Android N operating system.
In the rear side of the device it has a 23-megapixel camera with 1/2.3″ Exmor RS for mobile image sensor, Hybrid Autofocus, 5x Clear Image Zoom, LED flash and in the front side it has an 8-megapixel camera for selfies and video calling. It comes with 3GB of RAM, 32GB internal storage that can be expanded up to 256GB via micro SD card slot and a 2300mAh battery with Quick Charging support.
Connectivity wise it offers 4G, A-GNSS (GPS + GLONASS), WiFi Miracast, Bluetooth 4.2, NFC and USB Type-C port. The handset measures 145 x 67 x 8 mm and weighs 143 grams. The model that has been launched in Hong Kong is the dual SIM one, which features a dual SIM tray plus a separate slot for microSD card.
It is noted that the phone is already available to pre-order in Malaysia and expected to be launched in European countries on next week (April 10 to be precise).
