Recently, the Sharp Aquos Z3 with 13MP front camera launched at NT$ 1, 3990. Now the latest flagship device Sharp AQUOS R announced in Japan. The device comes with a fingerprint sensor on the front embedded into the home button. It also features AI app “Emopar” that learns the actions and habits of the users and gives suggestions. It has a rotating Robocle charging dock. According to the company, the ‘R’ in the AQUOS R means Reality, Response, Reliability, and Robotics.
The device features Sharp AQUOS R features 5.3-inch Quad HD (2560 × 1440 pixels) IGZO LCD 2.5D curved glass display, 4GB LPDDR4 RAM, 64GB storage (UFS). It is powered by Octa-Core Qualcomm Snapdragon 835 with Adreno 540 GPU and runs on Android 7.0 (Nougat). It has the dimension of 153×74×8.7mm and comes with (IPX 5 – IPX8 / IP6X) rating, which gives it safety from water and dust.
It has 22.6MP rear camera with LED Flash, OIS, f/1.9 aperture, 90-degree wide-angle lens and a 16.3MP front-facing camera.
Connectivity wise, it includes 4G LTE, Wi-Fi 802.11ac (2.4/5GHz), MIMO, Bluetooth v 5.0, GPS with GLONASS, USB Type-C, NFC and it is powered by 3160 mAh battery with Quick Charge 3.0.
The Sharp AQUOS R will be available in Black and White colors from summer of 2017. The cost of the device is still not revealed.
