After the grand launch of the Galaxy S8 and Galaxy S8+ in New York, Samsung launched an affordable smartphone 4G smartphone in its Galaxy J series, called Galaxy J3 Pro. Firstly, it was introduced back in June last year in China. The price of the smartphone is Rs 8,490. Samsung has partnered with Paytm Mall to make it exclusively available on the mobile digital payments platform from Thursday, April 6. It will be available in Black, White, and Gold colour options.
Speaking at the launch, Sandeep Singh Arora, Vice President, Online Business, Samsung India, said, “This is the first time Samsung is launching an online exclusive product, Galaxy J3 Pro, on Paytm Mall. Galaxy J3 Pro delivers powerful performance, outstanding display and also packs in consumer centric features developed at our R&D centres in India. This launch will give Paytm Mall consumers the opportunity to buy ‘Galaxy J Series’ which is the largest selling range in India.”
Samsung Galaxy J3 Pro features a 5-inch (1280 x 720 Pixels) HD Super AMOLED display and is powered by 1.5 GHz quad-core Spreadtrum processor. It runs on Android 5.1 (Lollipop) OS.
In the rear side of the device it has an 8MP auto focus rear camera with LED Flash, f/2.2 aperture and in the front side it has a 5MP camera, f/2.2 aperture. It has a 2GB RAM, 16GB internal memory, expandable up to 128GB with microSD.
It measures 142.3 x 71 x 7.9mm, weight: 138g. Connectivity wise 4G LTE / 3G HSPA+, Wi-Fi 802.11 b/g/n, Bluetooth 4.1, GPS, NFC, 3.5mm audio jack, FM Radio and 2600mAh battery.
Samsung also says that this smartphone has been ‘Made in India’ with focus on a few features like UDS, and S bike modes. UDS basically helps users save up to 50 percent mobile data costs, while the S bike mode uses NFC to help riders use the phone when on a bike.
