Last month, a rumor surfaced on the web that that the smartphone manufacturer HTC is likely to announce HTC U with codename Ocean in mid-April. Now the latest and the first image of the device HTC U revealed its design via @evleaks. It showed the reflective glass back and a curved glass on its front along with a fingerprint sensor just below the display.
The upcoming device HTC U will sport a 5.5-inch QHD touchscreen with a resolution of 2560 x 1440 pixels and will be powered by Qualcomm’s Snapdragon 835 chipset with Adreno 540 GPU and it will run on Android 7.1 Nougat with HTC Sense 9. 64 .The device will come with 4GB RAM, 64/128GB internal storage, and expandable memory up to 2TB with microSD card slot.
It will feature a rear camera of 12MP with dual-tone LED flash, IMX362 sensor, OIS, 4K video recording and a front-facing camera of 16MP with Sony IMX351 sensor.
Connectivity wise, it will feature 4G LTE, WiFi 802.11 ac (2.4 and 5GHz), Bluetooth 4.2 and GPS with GLONASS, NFC, USB 3.1 Type-C.
The exact date of its announcement is still unconfirmed, but it is expected that it will be announced anytime this month and it will be available globally early of May, 2017.
