The Chinese smartphone manufacturer Huawei sent out the invites for the announcement of Honor 8 Pro in Europe on 5th April, 2017. It will be the new name of Huawei Honor V9, that was announced recently.
The device Huawei Honor V9/ Honor 8 Pro comes with full metallic body sports Quad HD 2.5D curved glass display with the resolution of 2560 × 1440 pixels, 4GB / 6GB RAM, internal storage capacity of 64GB / 128GB, which can be further expanded up to 128GB via microSD card slot. It is powered by an Octa-Core Huawei Kirin 960 processor and runs on Android 7.0 (Nougat) with EMUI 5 on top. It has the dimension of 157×77.5×6.97mm, weighs 184g and has Hybrid Dual SIM functionality. It has a fingerprint sensor on the back and also features Infrared sensor.
The camera section of the device includes a 12MP dual rear camera with dual-tone LED flash, Laser AF, f/2.2 aperture and a front-facing camera of 8MP with f/2.0 aperture.
Connectivity wise, it features 4G VoLTE, Wi-Fi a/b/g/n/ac (2.4GHz and 5GHz), Bluetooth 4.2, GPS, NFC, USB 2.0 Type-C and it is powered by 4000mAh battery.
The cost of the device Honor 8 Pro is still unconfirmed, but it is expected that it will come with the similar cost as of the device Huawei Honor V9. As we know Honor V9 with 4GB RAM with 64GB storage version comes with the cost of 2999 yuan (US$ 435 / Rs. 29,170 approx.), while the 6GB RAM with 128GB storage version costs 3499 yuan (US$ 508 / Rs. 34,035 approx.).
