The Taiwanese smartphone manufacturer HTC kept its promise as stated earlier and finally launched a couple of devices HTC U Ultra and HTC U Play in the Indian market. Since, both the devices HTC U Ultra and HTC U Play announced last month.
The device HTC U Ultra sports 5.7-inch Quad HD Super LCD 5 display with the resolution of 1440 x 2560 pixels with Gorilla Glass 5 protection and 2.0-inch Super LCD 5 secondary display with the resolution of 160 x 1040 pixels , 520 PPI also its 128GB version comes with Sapphire Glass protection. It comes with 4GB RAM, internal storage capacity of 64GB, which can be further expandable up to 2TB via microSD card slot. It is powered by Quad-Core Qualcomm Snapdragon 821 64-bit processor with Adreno 530 GPU and runs on Android 7.0 (Nougat) with HTC Sense UI. It has Hybrid dual SIM functionality. The device comes with the dimension of 162.41 x 79.79 x 3.6-7.99mm and weighs 161 grams.
The main attraction of the device HTC U Ultra is its 2-inch 520 PPI secondary touch-screen display above the main display. It comes with a glass finish on it’s front and back, and a metal frame and the rear glass is fully curved at all four edges. It has used a unique process called optical spectrum hybrid deposition” which gives the glass multi-layered color.
The camera section of the device HTC U Ultra includes 12MP (UltraPixel 2) rear camera with dual-tone LED flash, 1.55um pixels, f/1.8 aperture, Laser AF, OIS, 4K video recording and a front-facing camera of 16MP with f/2.0 aperture, UltraPixel mode.
Connectivity wise, it features 4G LTE, WiFi 802.11 ac (2.4 and 5GHz), Bluetooth 4.2 and GPS with GLONASS, NFC, USB 3.1 Type-C and it powered by 3000mAh battery with Quick Charge 3.0. It comes with HTC USonic, HTC BoomSound Hi-Fi edition, 3D Audio recording with 4 microphones.
The device HTC U Play sports 5.2-inch Full HD Super LCD display with Corning Gorilla Glass protection with the resolution of 1920 x 1080 pixels, it comes without a secondary screen. The device features 4GB RAM and 64GB internal storage, which can be further expanded up to 2TB via microSD card slot. It is powered by Octa-core MediaTek Helio P10 processor with up to Mali T860 GPU and runs on Android 6.0 (Marshmallow). It has Hybrid dual SIM functionality and a fingerprint sensor on it’s front. It has the dimension of 145.99 x 72.9 x 3.5-7.99mm and weighs 145 grams.
The camera section of the device includes 16MP rear camera with dual-tone LED flash, f/2.0 aperture, PDAF, OIS and a front-facing camera of 16MP with f/2.0 aperture, 28mm lens, UltraPixel mode.
Connectivity wise it features 4G LTE, WiFi 802.11 ac (2.4 and 5GHz), Bluetooth 4.2 and GPS with GLONASS, NFC, USB 2.0 Type-C and also supports HTC USonic, Dual microphones with noise cancelation. It is powered by 2500mAh battery with fast charging.
The users can get the device HTC U Ultra in Brilliant Black, Cosmetic Pink and Sapphire Blue Black colors at Rs. 59,990 (MOP) and will be available from March 6th.
While the HTC U Play comes in Iceberg White, Indigo Blue, Black Oil and Cosmic Pink Gold colors at the cost of Rs. 39,990 (MOP). It will be available mid-March. Both the smartphones come with one-year insurance that covers liquid damage and any physical damage to phones. Also the company has offered 7.5% cashback using Standard Charted Debit or credit card from March 6th to May 31st, 2017.
