Last month, BlackBerry released a latest teaser video of the device BlackBerry Mercury (DTEK70) and confirmed its announcement at the Mobile World Congress, 2017 event at Barcelona. Now the device BlackBerry Mercury (BBB100-2) certified by Wi-Fi Alliance raised one step more towards it’s announcement.
Now the upcoming device BlackBerry Mercury (BBB100-2) will come with a physical QWERTY keyboard and a 4.5-inch display. It will also have 3GB RAM, internal storage capacity of 32GB. It will be powered by an octa-core processor with the Adreno 506 GPU and it will be powered by a 3400mAh battery. Since, there is expectation that it will be registered as BlackBerry DTEK70.
The cost, availability and all the detailed specifications of BlackBerry Mercury (BBB100-2) will be confirmed on upcoming MWC, 2017.
It will be successor of the the device BlackBerry DTEK60 which was announced in Octonber,2016. It sports Quad HD display of 5.5” with the resolution of 2560 x 1440 pixels, 4GB RAM, internal storage capacity of 32GB, which can be further expanded via microSD card slot. It is powered by Quad-Core Snapdragon 820 64-bit processor with Adreno 530 GPU and runs on Android 6.0 (Marshmallow). It has the dimension of 153.9 x 75.4 x 7 mm and weighs 165g and includes a Fingerprint sensor.
The camera section of the device BlackBerry DTEK60 includes a rear camera of 21MP rear camera with dual-tone LED Flash, f/2.0 aperture, PDAF, 4K Video recording and a front-facing camera of 8MP with f/2.2 aperture, 1.125um pixel size, 84-degree wide-angle lens, LED flash.
Connectivity wise it features 4G LTE, Wi-Fi 802.11 ac (2.4GHz + 5GHz), Bluetooth 4.2, GPS, USB Type-C and it is powered by 3000mAh battery with Qualcomm Quick Charge 3.0.
