The smartphone manufacturer vivo finally announced its latest device vivo V5 Plus at its fixed schedule, as stated earlier. It is the successor of vivo V5 “selfie-focused” Smartphone, which was announced in November, 2016.
The device vivo V5 Plus with all metallic body sports a display of 5.5-inch with the resolution of 1080pixels protected by 2.5D curved Gorilla Glass 5 on its top. It comes with 4GB of RAM, internal storage capacity of 64GB, dimension of 152.58 x 74 x 7.26 mm, and it weighs 158.6g. It is powered by Qualcomm’s Snapdragon 625 SoC chipset and its software based on Funtouch OS 3 runs on Android 6.0 Marshmallow.
The camera section of the device includes a dual front-facing camera of 20 MP coupled with 8 MP with aperture f/2.0 as “ selfie softlight” flash. Its front facing camera of 20MP Sony’s IMX376 1/2.78″ sensor with f/2.0 aperture, LED flash, f/2.0 aperture, 4K video recording and 5P lens system and a rear camera of 16 MP with a LED flash, f/2.0 aperture, and 4K video recording.
It is powered by 3,160 mAh battery. The V5 Plus comes with a custom-made AK4376 dedicated Hi-Fi audio chip which provides a signal-to-noise ratio of up to 115dB.
The users will get the device only one color Gold. There is expectation that it will be launched soon in India, Indonesia Malaysia, Thailand, and Myanmar. The company hasn’t yet declared its cost, but it is likely that the cost of the device will be RM 1,799 (approx. $400), as revealed by the Malaysian retailer DirectD earlier.
