Recently, the specification of the upcoming device revealed via AnTuTu. Now a fresh rumor confirms that the device Xiaomi Mi 5S will come with Qualcomm’s ultrasonic fingerprint sensor, since such rumor already leaked in June this year. It is based on the latest technology, which was revealed by Qualcomm in the March, 2015. It works well on different kind of surfaces like glass, sapphire, metal, aluminum, and plastic.
The tech allows smartphone manufactures to embed the sensors within frames or panels, instead of a dedicated place, as most of the smartphone coming with it these days.
According to the latest rumor the device Xiaomi Mi 5S will sport a FHD display of 5.15” (1080 x 1920pixels) with Force Touch, 6GB of LPDDR4 RAM, and internal storage capacity of 256GB of UFS 2.0. It will be powered by a Qualcomm Snapdragon 821 SoC with a quad-core 2.4GHz processor with Adreno 530 GPU and runs on Android 6.0.1.
The device will feature a rear camera of 16MP with 4 axis optical image stabilization and an aperture of f/1.8. PDAF focus. It will have the thickness of 7.25mm and weighs147grams.
It will be powered by 3490mAh battery with Qualcomm’s fast charge 3.0.It will support a USB Type-C port, NFC and Qualcomm’s ultrasonic fingerprint Scanner .
It is expected that the device will come with two or three versions. One will come with 3GB of LPDDR4 RAM and 64GB of native storage. The other offers 4GB of LPDDR4 RAM and 128GB of internal memory and the third version will come with 6GB of RAM and 256GB of storage.
