A couple of days ago, the Xiaomi CEO Lei Jun revealed the first camera sample for the device Xiaomi Mi 5S on his Weibo account and also the cost of the device leaked. Now the latest teaser released by the Chinese smartphone manufacturer unveiled that the device will be powered by Qualcomm’s Snapdragon Sense ID, which is the ultrasonic fingerprint scanner placed underneath the screen. Also the screenshot of the device unveiled that it will sport a display of 5.15” with the resolution of 1080 x 1920pixels, come with Force Touch, which allows the device to distinguish between a soft tap, a regular tap or a hard tap on the glass.
This all leaked just before its announcement, which is likely to be on 27th September, 2016.
According to the latest rumor the device Xiaomi Mi 5S will sport a FHD display of 5.0” (1080 x 1920pixels) with Force Touch, 6GB of LPDDR4 RAM, and internal storage capacity of 256GB of UFS 2.0. It will be powered by a Qualcomm Snapdragon 821 SoC chipset with a quad-core 2.4GHz processor with Adreno 530 GPU and runs on Android 6.0.1. Also it will the first device which will come with Qualcomm’s ultrasonic fingerprint sensor,
The device will feature a rear camera of 16MP with 4 -axis optical image stabilization and an aperture of f/1.8. PDAF focus. It will have the thickness of 7.25mm and weighs147grams.
It will be powered by 3490mAh battery with Qualcomm’s fast charge 3.0.It will support a USB Type-C port, NFC and Qualcomm’s ultrasonic fingerprint scanner .
It is expected that the device will come with two or three versions. One will come with 3GB of LPDDR4 RAM and 64GB of native storage. The other offers 4GB of LPDDR4 RAM and 128GB of internal memory and the third version will come with 6GB of RAM and 256GB of storage.
