After announcing the latest affordable device Xiaomi Redmi 3S in China last month, the company finally decided to launch the 4G device for the Indian users.
The device Xiaomi Redmi 3s with full metal magnesium alloy unibody design sports HD IPS display of 5.0” with the resolutions of 1280 x 720 pixels. It is powered by Octa-Core Qualcomm Snapdragon 430chipset with the 64-bit processor along with Adreno 505 GPU and runs on MIUI 7 based on Android. It comes in 2GB of RAM with 16GB storage or 3GB of RAM with 32GB storage variants, which can be further expanded up to 128GB via microSD card slot. It has the dimension of 139.3 x 69.6 x 8.5mm and weighs 144g and supports Hybrid Dual SIM (micro + nano / microSD).
The camera section of the device includes a rear camera of 13MP with PDAF, LED Flash, f/2.0 aperture, 1080p video recording and front-facing camera of 5MP with f/2.2 aperture and 1080p video recording.
Connectivity wise, the device features 4G LTE, Wi-Fi 802.11 b/g/n, Bluetooth 4.1, GPS + GLONASS and fingerprint sensor. It is powered by a battery of 4000mAh battery / 4100mAh (typical).
The device is already available in China at 699 yuan (US$ 106) for 2GB RAM /16GB storage capacity, while the 3GB RAM with 32GB storage version costs 899 yuan (US$ 136).
The company didn’t reveal its launching date for the Indian market yet.
