HTC 10 with 12MP UltraPixel camera & Boom sound speaker launched

HTC-10Just after revealing the promo video of the flagship device HTC 10, HTC finally launched the device with catch line “Power of 10”.  It is the successor of the HTC One M9, which was launched in March, 2015. The users will get the device in different versions including Carbon Grey, Glacier Silver, Topaz Gold, Camellia Red Glacier Silver, Topaz Gold and Camellia Red color at the cost of $699 (Rs. 46,400) in the US and the company hasn’t declared its cost for global markets.

The device HTC 10 with metallic unibody sports 2K Super LCD 5 display of 5.2”, a pixel density of 564ppi, it has dual edge Gorilla Glass for the protection of display. It supports dual SIM dual standby and runs on latest Android 6.0 Marshmallow based HTC Sense 8.0 UI. It also includes a fingerprint  sensor embedded into the physical home button for security purpose.

The device HTC 10 comes in two versions. The US and UK users will get the device powered by Snapdragon 820 quad-core processor coupled with Adreno 530 GPU while the Indian and Chinese users will get the device HTC 10 powered by Snapdragon 652 octa-core processor paired with Adreno 510 GPU and both the versions run on latest Android 6.0 Marshmallow based HTC Sense 8.0 UI.

The Snapdragon 820 version comes with 4GB of RAM, 32GB/64GB of built-in storage capacity while the Snapdragon 652 version features 3GB of RAM and 32GB of internal storage. Both the variants come with a microSD card slot for further expansion of memory upto 2TB.

The camera section of the device includes a 12MP UltraPixel rear camera with laser autofocus, OIS, dual-LED flash and a front –facing camera of 5MP with a screen flash for video chats and capturing magnificent selfies. Since it is the “the world’s first optically stabilized, larger aperture f/1.8 lenses” on both the front and rear cameras. The camera also offers unique features like RAW support, 4K video recording with Hi-Res Audio, Pro Mode, 12x slow motion mode. Also according to the HTC, the device HTC 10 comes with “the world’s first stereo 24-bit Hi-Res audio recording, capturing 256 times more detail than standard records, across twice the frequency range.”It has BoomSound speaker which works as a two-way speaker – tweeter (high frequencies) and woofer (low frequencies). Each speaker has its own amp.

Connectivity wise, it offers 4G-LTE, NFC, Bluetooth 4.2, Wi-Fi, GPS/A-GPS and microUSB Type-C port. It is powered by a battery of 3000mAh supported by Quick Charging technology which helps to charge 50% in 30 minutes. Since, the uses will get the device HTC10 later this month.
