The Galaxy A9 features a 6″ Super AMOLED screen of 1080p resolution and powered by the Snapdragon 620 chipset. The 620 platform offers a powerful octa-core 1.8GHz processor with 4x Cortex-A72 and 4x Cortex-A53 cores, while the GPU in charge of graphics is Adreno 510. Galaxy A9 will run on 5.1.1 Lollipop.

In the rear side of the Galaxy A9 it features a 13MP rear camera with optical image stabilization and bright f/1.9 aperture and in the front side of the device it has an 8MP for taking personal selfie with support for panoramic pictures.

The handset has 3GB of RAM and 32GB expandable storage and a 4,000 mAh battery. It is said that the device feature a power bank. Connectivity wise it features LTE Cat.7.

Galaxy A9 Pro has only 5.5 inch display as compared to 6″ display of Galaxy A9 (2016). The primary camera of Galaxy A9 (2016) has of 13MP , while the Galaxy A9 Pro will allegedly have a 16MP snapper. For taking selfie Galaxy A9 Pro has 8MP front camera whereas Galaxy A9 (2016) has 7MP front camera. Galaxy A9 Pro features 4GB RAM compared to 3GB uesed in Galaxy A9 (2016).

Galaxy A9 Pro has Qualcomm Snapdragon 652 chip with octa-core CPU with Cortex-A72 cores clocked at 1.8GHz on the other hand Galaxy A9 (2016) features Qualcomm Snapdragon 620 platform with octa-core 1.8GHz processor with 4x Cortex-A72 and 4x Cortex-A53 cores.
