Recently a new smartphone from Xiaomi with model number 2015811 has been passed through TENAA which is assumed to be the Redmi 3 smartphone. Today an image has been teased by the company on its Weibo account.
It is officially confirmed by the weibo that the company is going to launch the affordable Redmi 3 smartphone at an event scheduled for January 12 in China. Weibo listing also reveals that the device will feature a 5-inch display and also sports metal body with unique plaid design on the rear side of the smartphone.
Based on TENAA listing, the Redmi 3 will feature a 5-inch (720×1280 pixels) HD IPS display and will be powered by unknown 64-bit octa-core processor clocked at 1.5GHz. The device will run on Android 5.1 Lollipop based MiUi 7. The handset will also have 2GB of RAM and 16G of internal storage with microSD card support for further expansion up to 32GB. The device will feature hybrid SIM slot that lets you use a microSd card instead of the second SIM. The Redmi 3 sports premium looks and features a full-metal body.
In the rear side of the device it will have a 13MP camera with LED flash and in the front side of the device it will have a 5MP for video calling and taking personal selfie. The smartphone equips with dual SIM dual standby and connectivity wise the device it features 4G-LTE, Wi-Fi, GPS, Bluetooth, Infrared and microUSB port.
The handset will have a 4000mAh battery which promised to deliver 1-2 days on mixed usage. The dimensions of the smartphone are 139.3 x 69.6 x 8.5 mm and weigh around 143 grams and come in Dark Grey, Silver and Champagne Gold color options.
