Recently the Korea-based LG Electronics has announced a K-series smartphone named LG K7 in the US via Boost Mobile and the company also added that it will be renamed as LG Tribute 5. Now, the smartphone has been officially launched by the company in the US.
The LG Tribute 5 features a 5-inch (854×480 pixels) FWVGA IPS display with 196ppi as pixel density and is powered by Snapdragon 210 quad-core processor clocked at 1.1GHz coupled with Adreno 304 GPU. The smartphone runs on Android 5.1 Lollipop.
The smartphone has also 1GB of RAM and 8GB of internal storage and also includes microSD card slot for further expansion up to 32GB. The smartphone equips with dual SIM dual standby. The LG Tribute 5 comes with a beautiful glossy pebble design and features power and volume rockers placed on the rear side below camera module.
In the rear side of the smartphone it has a 5MP camera with LED flash and in the front side of the device it has a 5MP camera with LG’s Gesture Shot feature for video calling and taking personal selfie.
Connectivity wise the device features 4G-LTE/3G, Bluetooth 4.0, Wi-Fi, GPS/A-GPS and microUSB 2.0 port and a 2125mAh battery which promised to offer up to 14.5 hours of talk time. The dimensions of the device are 143.6 x 72.5 x 9.05 mm weighs around 147 grams and is currently available in Black color options.
The smartphone will be available for purchase via Boost Mobile priced at $99.99 without any contract.
