Today an expansive smartphone named Mate 8 has been officially announced by Huawei in CES.
The Mate 8 features a 6-inch (1080×1920 pixels) Full-HD display comes with 2.5D arc glass and is powered by the latest Kirin 950 octa-core processor clocked at 2.3GHz coupled with Mali-T880MP4 GPU. The handset runs on Android 6.0 Marshmallow based latest Huawei EMUI 4.0.
In the rear side of the smartphone it has a 16MP Sony IMX298 camera with OIS, PDAF for faster focus, f/2.0 aperture and LED flash and in the front side of the device it has an 8MP Sony IMX179 camera for video calling. The rear camera can record 4K video.
The device comes with 3GB/4GB of RAM, 32GB/64GB of internal storage with microSD card slot for further expansion. The handset equips with dual SIM dual standby. Connectivity wise the device features 4G-LTe, Bluetooth, Wi-Fi, GPS/GNSS, NFC, DLNA and microUSB port.
The body of the Mate 8 is completely made up of all-metal out of aluminum and also features a fingerprint sensor in the rear side and a 4000mAh battery. It is said that the Huawei Mate 8 will be available in China and other global countries starting Q1 of 2016.
The price of the Huawei Mate 8 for 32/64GB variant will be $599/ $699.
