In October, 2015 Huawei launched Honor 5X in China and now there is lots of expectation that it will be launched soon in the US.
The Honor 5X features a 5.5-inch (1080×1920 pixels) Full-HD display with 403ppi as pixel density and Gorilla Glass protection and is powered by Snapdragon 615 64-bit octa-core processor clocked at 1.5GHz coupled with Adreno 405 GPU. The handset runs on Android 5.1 Lollipop.
In the rear side of the smartphone it has a 13MP camera with LED flash, f/2.0 aperture and blue glass infrared filter for maximum brightness and in the front side it has a 5MP snapper with an f/2.4 aperture to capture the perfect selfie images. The rear camera also comes with ‘Food Mode’.
The body of the device is made out of aluminum alloy and also feels premium in hand with the curved design. The handset has also 2GB RAM and 16GB internal storage which can further expanded up to 128GB through a micro SD card slot.
The smartphone equips with a fingerprint scanner which is placed in the rear of the device that is rated to unlock the device is just 0.48 seconds. The handset equips with dual SIM and connectivity wise the smartphone equips with 4G-LTE, Bluetooth, Wi-Fi, GPS/A-GPS and a microUSB 2.0 port and a 3000mAh battery with quick charge 3.0 support that can charge the battery from 0-50% in just half hour of time.
The dimensions of the smartphone are 143.1 x 71.8 x 9.7 mm and weigh around 159 grams.
The price of the Honor 5X is $200 and will be available for pre-order in the US starting today via Amazon and shipping starts from 31st January.
It is noted that media invites for the launch of an unknown smartphone in India at an event scheduled for January 28 in New Delhi has also been sent out by the company. So it is expected that the smartphone will also be launched in India soon.
