Today an affordable Android tablet named Acer Iconia One 8 B1-850 announced by Acer. It is assumed to be the successor of Acer Iconia One 8 B1-830.
The Iconia One 8 B1-850 features an 8-inch (1280×800 pixels) HD IPS display and is powered by MediaTek MT8163 quad-core processor. The tablet runs on Android 5.1 Lollipop. In the rear side of the tablet it has a 5MP camera without LED flash and in the front side it has a 2MP camera for video calling and selfie lovers. Connectivity wise the device it will have a Wi-Fi only and Bluetooth, GPS/A-GPS and microUSB port with OTG functionality. The device comes with 1GB RAM and 16GB of internal storage which can be further expanded up to 128GB through a microSD card slot and a 4600mAh battery which is promised to offer up to 9 hours on a single charge.
It is noted that the tablet has also Kids Center app for kids-friendly user interface and also has parental control features to limit the usage of the tablet for the children. The tablet is equipped with other unique features like, EZ WakeUP that helps in opening a pre-selected app with just one-touch and double taps. The function of the EZ Snap to take a screenshot effortlessly with just a simple three-finger pinch.System Doctor to optimize system functionality as it manages the device’s memory, storage and apps for the smooth functioning of the tablet.
In the third or last week of the January the Iconia One 8 B1-850 will be available in selected markets. The price of the table is $100 in the U.S and €129 for the European markets.
