Since Google launched Nexus 6P on 29th September, 2015. Now the manufacturer will make its availability in gold version called Nexus 6P Special Edition.
It is expected that the users will get the device on 21st December, 2015 via Flipkart.
“The Huawei Nexus 6P has been well received by the Indian audience and keeping in mind the niche target group, we have introduced the Gold color Special Edition of the smartphone,” said Huawei India Consumer Device Business Group President Allen Wang.
The device Nexus 6P features a 5.7-inch (1440×2560 pixel) WQHD AMOLED display with Corning Gorilla Glass 4 and 518ppi as pixel density and is powered by Qualcomm Snapdragon 810 64-bit octa-core processor clocked at 2.0GHz along with 3GB RAM. The smartphone runs on Android 6.0 Marshmallow. It is considered that it is the first full metal smartphone.
In the rear side of the device it has a 12.3MP camera with dual LED flash, laser autofocus and in the front side it has an 8MP camera with an f/2.2 aperture for video calling and taking personal selfie. Connectivity wise the device features 4G-LTE, Wi-Fi, Bluetooth 4.0, GPS/A-GPS and microUSB port.
The handset features a new fingerprint sensor, “Nexus Imprint,” which is placed in the rear of the device and it is said by the Google that it makes the users more secure access to the phone. It is claimed by the fingerprint sensor that it recognize a print in less than 600 milliseconds and it unlocks the device with a single touch on the fingerprint sensor.
The device also features a USB Type-C port and dual front-facing speakers and a 3450 mAh battery with quick charge support. It is just 7.3 mm thick, weighs 178 grams and will be available in colors- Metallic Silver, Sports White and Carbon Black.
The users will get the device in 64GB version at the cost of Rs 43,999 ($665), which is more than Rs 1000($15) comparative to the regular 64GB Nexus 6P.
