The device Huawei Mate 8 was launched last month in China. Now the company has decided to start the sale of the device for Chinese users on 9th December, 2015. As we know Huawei Mate 8 sports FULL HD display of 6” with the resolutions of 1080×1920 pixels and also comes with 2.5D arc glass and is powered by the latest Kirin 950 octa-core processor clocked at 2.3GHz coupled with Mali-T880MP4 GPU. The smartphone runs on Android 6.0 Marshmallow based latest Huawei EMUI 4.0.
In the rear side of the smartphone it has a 16MP Sony IMX298 rear camera with OIS, PDAF for faster focus, f/2.0 aperture and LED flash. Interestingly the rear camera of the device can record 4K video. In the front side of the device it has an 8MP Sony IMX179 camera for taking perfect selfie. The device equips with dual SIM dual standby.
Connectivity wise the device features 4G-LTe, Bluetooth, Wi-Fi, GPS/GNSS, NFC, DLNA and microUSB port. The full body of the Mate 8 is out of aluminum and also features a fingerprint sensor placed on the back side below the camera module.
The smartphone comes with 3GB/4GB of RAM, 32GB/64GB of internal storage with microSD card slot for further expansion and a 4000mAh battery.
The device will have the cost of CNY 2,999 ($470) for the 3GB/32GB model, CNY 3699 ($580) for the 4GB/64GB model, CNY 4399 ($690) for the 4GB/128GB model, and CNY 6888 ($1075) for the exclusive champagne edition.
He Gang, the head of Chinese company’s smartphone division, showed high expectation towards the device and confirmed that the company is seriously working to improve the production quantity of the device and they also made a decision to manufacture approx one million units per month to satisfy the users in coming days.
The availability for the global users will be announced at CES 2016.
