A couple of weeks ago a smartphone called as the Gionee GN8001 had been certified in China by TENAA. It is expected that it will be the Gionee M5 Plus. Today a teaser has been posted by the company on Weibo site which revealed that the smartphone will be unveiled on 21st December.
Based on rumored specification:
The smartphone will feature a Gorilla Glass protected 6-inch AMOLED display with a 1080 x 1920 resolution and will be powered by an unknown octa-core 1.3GHz CPU. The smartphone runs on Android 5.1 OS.
According to TENAA the rear camera of the device will be either an 8MP or a 13MP camera and in the front side of the device it will have a 5MP camera for taking personal selfie and video calling. The handset will have 3GB of RAM and 32GB of internal memory that can be expanded up to 128GB through microSD slot and a massive 5020mAh battery. The smartphone equips with a fingerprint scanner embedded in the home button.
Connectivity wise the Gionee M5 Plus will offer 4G LTE, 3G, Wi-Fi, Bluetooth 4.0, GPS, and USB OTG. The phone will be available in Silver. The smartphone measures 8.2mm thick and weighs 206g. Right now we do not have any info regarding the price and availability of the smartphone.
