The upcoming device Asus ZenFone 3 has already certified by TENAA in China. Now it is expected that the device will be launched in May or June, 2016. Since the company has taken lots of time for its release. The reason behind so much delay is due to the decision taken by the company to implement a fingerprint scanner in the device. Asus ZenFone 3 will be the first device of ZenFone series with a fingerprint scanner. It has already been confirmed by Asus CEO Jerry Shen back in March.
Due to the fall in price of finger print scanner, it is expected that in coming day, 50% of smartphones will come with finger print scanner.
According to the recent rumors, the Asus ZenFone 3 will sport a 5” Gorilla Glass 3 protected screen with a 720 x 1280 resolution and is powered by a 64-bit SoC containing a quad-core 1.2GHz CPU and a Mail GPU. The device runs on Android 5.0. The device has also 2GB of LPDDR3 RAM and 16GB of expandable memory. In the rear side of the device it has an 8MP camera with HDR mode and in the front side it has a 5MP camera for taking selfies. Connectivity wise the smartphone support 3G, Wi-Fi and Bluetooth 4.0 connectivity.
The ZenFone 3 also supports dual SIM capabilities. It is consider that the handset will be available in black, white, red, blue, purple, gold and silver. The body of the device is made up of metal.
The cost of the device is still unknown yet.
