Yesterday Xiaomi has launched Mi Pad 2 tablet in China. Mi Pad 2 tablet is the successor of the Mi Pad that was launched in May, 2014.
The new tablet comes in two storage variants. The price of 16GB variant is 999 Yuan (approx $156/Rs. 10,300) and the price of 64GB versions is 1,299 Yuan (approx $203/Rs. 13,500).
The Mi Pad 2 flaunts a 7.9-inch (2048×1536 pixels) IPS display comes with a pixel density of 326ppi and is powered by Intel Atom X5-Z8500 quad-core processor clocked at 2.2GHz coupled with Intel HD GPU. The tablet runs on Android 5.1 Lollipop based MiUi 7.
In the rear side of the tablet it features an 8MP rear camera with f/2.0 aperture and in the front side it has a 5MP camera for video calling and for taking personal selfie. Connectivity wise the table features Wi-Fi, Bluetooth and GPS/A-GPS. The tablet also features a USB Type-C port for faster data sharing.
The device has 2GB RAM and 16GB/64GB of internal storage and a massive 6190mAh battery, which the company claims can last up to 648.8 hours of standby time. The Mi Pad 2 is pretty sleek with just 6.99 mm thickness and weighs around 322 grams.
The tablet is available in colors Dark Grey, Champagne Gold and it is expected that the tablet will go on sale at the end of this month.
