Today the Asus Zenfone 2 has been officially launched by Asus in the U.S. market which was officially announced internationally by the company during the IFA 2015 event back in September. The smartphone comes with 3GB RAM and is available for purchase via official Asus store, Amazon, B&H, Newegg. The price 16GB variant is $199 off-contract and the price of 32GB variant is $249 off-contract.
The model number of the handset is ZE550KL which arrives in two different processor size, first one is powered by 64-bit Snapdragon 410 quad-core processor. The second one is powered by 64-bit Snapdragon 615 octa-core processor. Both these variants feature the same 5.5-inch HD (1280×720) IPS display with Gorilla Glass 4 Protection. The smartphone runs on Android 5.0 Lollipop.
In the rear side of the device it features a 13MP camera with laser autofocus and dual-tone LED flash and in the front side of the device it has a 5MP camera. It has 2GB of RAM and 16GB/32GB of Internal storage with microSD card support. The dimensions of the device are 152.5 x 77.2 x 10.8 mm and weighs 170 grams. Connectivity wise the handset features 4G LTE, Wi-Fi, GPS/A-GPS, Bluetooth and microUSB. Beside these two variants, there is another version with model number ZE601KL comes with 6-inch display.
