Recently, Meizu launched a new smartphone in its new Pro series called as Meizu Pro 5 and now it has launched another budget smartphone under its Blue Charm series named Meizu Metal in an event held on October 21 in China.
Meizu Metal smartphone is a made of a full metal body that the claims to be a ‘Crystal Metal’ and is quite a looker. The device features a 5.5-inch (1920×1080 pixels) FHD display with 2.5D curved glass and also equipped with Dinorex T2X-1 glass for scratch and shock protection. The handset is powered by MediaTek Helio X10 octa-core 64-bit processor clocked at 2GHz paired with PowerVR G6200 GPU. The smartphone runs on Android 5.1 Lollipop based Flyme OS 5.1.
In the rear side of the smartphone it features a 13MP camera with PDAF, LED flash and in the front side it has a 5MP camera to shoot crisp images. It has dual SIM dual standby support. The smartphone has 2GB RAM and comes in two storage variants 16GB/32GB of internal storage. The second SIM card slot can also be used as microSD card slot for further expansion.
Connectivity wise the device feature 4G-LTE, Bluetooth 4.1, Wi-Fi, GPS/A-GPS and microUSB port and a 3140mAh battery that can last up to 10 hours in standby mode. It is noted that the smartphone is a fingerprint scanner embedded in the physical home button placed on the front side.
The smartphone will be available in five different colors- Blue, Grey, White, Pink and Gold.The price of the Meizu Metal smartphone in its home country at CNY 1,099 (Rs. 11,300 approx) for the 16GB storage variant and CNY 1,299 (roughly Rs. 13,300) for the 32GB storage variant.
Now the smartphone is in pre-orders and will be available for sale starting November 2.
