HTC One A9 launched @ $400


Earlier we published the leaked specifications and cost of the HTC One A9. Now the Taiwanese manufacturer HTC finally launched its latest flagship device in an official event held in New York City at the cost of $399.99 . It is the first non-Nexus smartphone , which runs on Android 6.0 Marshmallow.

According to Cher Wang, chairwoman and CEO, HTC One A9 breaks trend by offering an incredible design, fantastic performance and cutting-edge software features.

HTC One A9 sports Full-HD display of 5” with the resolution of 1080×1920 pixels with Corning Gorilla Glass 4 protection. It is powered by the latest Qualcomm Snapdragon 617 64-bit octa-core processor of 1.5GHz

The camera section of the device includes a rear camera of 13MP with sapphire cover lens , PDAF, f/2.0 aperture, autofocus, OIS, BSI sensor, LED flash & RAW support. It has a 4MP Ultra-Pixel front-facing camera.

It will come in two storage variants including 16GB with 2GB RAM and 32GB with 3GB RAM. Both the versions will be expanded upto 2TB via microSD card slot.

The device also features fingerprint scanner, which is located on the front side of the device. It will be powered by a non-removable battery of 2,150 mAh, which supports Quick Charge 2.0 and 3.0.

The manufacturer offered some additional features like faster software updates, ‘Uh-Oh’ protection plan, which will provide a free phone to its users in came of a cracked screen, water damage, or a carrier switch within the first twelve months from the date of purchase and also included a 6-months package of Google Play Music subscription.

It will be available in different variants including Carbon Grey, Opal Silver, Topaz Gold, and Deep Garnet and will also come with 6-months.
