Yesterday Micromax which is the India’s second largest smartphone manufacturer in partnership with chipmaker MediaTek has introduced a new 4G-LTE smartphone called Canvas Fire 4G. It is consider to be the first Micromax device that runs on the MediaTek MT6735 which is a 4G compliant processor.
While launching the smartphone it is said by Vineet Taneja who is the CEO of Micromax Informatics, “We have always endeavoured to offer products based on certain needs of the consumer. Moving forward, we will lead the 4G adoption in the country by converting all our attractive value Canvas series to 4G. Canvas Fire 4G is the first in a series of such launches.”
Canvas Fire 4G equips with a 4.5-inch WVGA (854 x 480) display offering a pixel density of 218ppi and will be powered by 64-bit MediaTek MT6735 octa-core processor clocked at 1.4GHz. The handset runs on Android 5.1 Lollipop.
In the rear side of the device it has a 5MP camera with LED flash and in the front side it has a 2MP camera for video calling and taking personal selfie. It has also 1GB RAM and 8GB internal storage that can be expanded up to 32GB through microSD card. The device also comes with dual SIM dual standby support. The device also supports dual front-facing speakers.
Connectivity wise the device features 4G-LTE, Bluetooth 4.0, Wi-Fi, GPS/A-GPS and microUSB 2.0. it is expected that the price of the device will be Rs.5,999.
