Today, two new smartphone named the Xperia C5 Ultra and the Xperia M5 have been announced by Sony.
Sony Xperia C5 Ultra
It is consider that the Xperia C5 Ultra is the successor of the Xperia C3. The C5 Ultra features a 6-inch, 1920×1080 resolution IPS display with really thin bezels on the side and is powered by a 1.7GHz octa-core MediaTek MT6752 chipset. The smartphone runs on Android 5.0 Lollipop.
In the rear side of the device it has a 13 megapixel autofocus camera and in the front side it has also a 13 megapixel autofocus camera which is similar to the HTC Desire EYE. It is noted that the front camera also has 22mm focal length to fit more people in and also an LED flash.
The C5 Ultra has also 2GB of RAM, 16GB internal memory and microSD card slot. Connectivity wise it has LTE and a 2930mAh battery that promised to offer two days battery life.
Sony Xperia M5
Sony has introduced the Sony Xperia M5 as the ‘super mid-range’ smartphone. The M5 comes with a 5-inch 1920×1080 resolution IPS panel and is powered by MediaTek Helio X10 processor. the smartphone runs on Android 5.0 Lollipop.
The device has also 3GB RAM and 16GB internal memory with microSD card slot. In the rear side of the device it has also 21.5 megapixel camera and in the front side it has a 13 megapixel camera, LTE and 2600mAh battery with two-day battery life.
It is consider that Sony Xperia M5 is quite similar to some of the Xperia Z series devices. It features the same OmniBalance design with metal on the sides and glass on the front and back. The M5 is also dust and waterproof with IP65 & IP68 certification.
It is expected that both the models will be available in dual SIM variants in selected countries across emerging markets starting mid-August.
