The Samsung Galaxy Note 5 features a 5.7-inch Quad HD (2560×1440) Super AMOLED display that comes with a pixel density of 518ppi. The smartphone is powered by a 64-bit Exynos 7420 processor and runs on Android 5.1.1 Lollipop based TouchWiz UI.
It is consider that the Note 5 will be Samsung’s first smartphone that features 4GB of LPDDR4 RAM and also feature uni-build body. In the rear and front side it has an Aluminium frame around the device with Gorilla Glass 4 protections. It also features the traditional S-Pen with a metallic finish and few more additional functions, now it comes with all new push pull design.
The device will be available in two storage variants 32GB and 64GB with no microSD card slot and it features a smaller 3,000mAh battery which comes with quick charge support for wired and wireless. According to the Samsung the battery on the Note 5 can fully charge in just 90 minutes by connecting through a wired charger and in 120 minutes by a Samsungs improved wireless charger.
In the rear side of the device it has a 16MP camera with OIS along with an aperture of f/1.9 and dual LED flash and in the front side it has an improved 5MP camera. Both the cameras support Auto HDR.The dimensions of the device are 153.2 x 76.1 x 7.6 mm and weighs 171 grams. Connectivity wise it features 4G LTE, Wi-Fi 802.11 a/b/g/n/ac, NFC, GPS/A-GPS/GLONASS, Bluetooth 4.2 LE and micro USB2.0.
It has been confirmed by Samsung that the Note 5 will be launched only in the US and other Asian countries. The device also supports the Samsung Pay which will be launched on August 20 in Korea and on September 28 in the US. It will be launched in other markets like the UK, Spain, China and other countries as well.
The device will be available in variants colors like White Pearl, Black Sapphire, Gold Platinum and Silver Titanium. It has been announced by the company that the selling of the smartphone will be started from August 21 in the US.
