The Meizu MX5 was announced on 30th June, 2015 in its home market at a starting price of 1800 yuan (Rs 18,000) and now the company has decided to sale its flagship device for the Indian users via Snapdeal.The registration of the device for sale have started now.
It is confirmed that Meizu will announce the phone on 26th August 2015 at an event which will be held on New Delhi.
The specification of the device includes features a 5.5-inch super AMOLED display with a Corning Gorilla Glass 3 protection is powered by Mediatek’s MT6795T SoC, also known as Helio X10. It is a true octa-core chip with all of its Cortex-A53 cores set at 2.2GHz. The chip also includes a PowerVR G6200 GPU. It runs on the company’s new Flyme OS 4.5.
The MX5 also have 3GB of LPDDR3 RAM and storage options feature 16GB, 32GB and 64GB all using eMMC 5.0 chips and the 3,150 mAh battery pack. The body of the smartphone is made up of a metal with only two small plastic inlays for smooth radio functionality. The dimension of the device has 149.9mm x 74.7mm x 7.6mm and weighs in at 149g.
In the rear side of the device it has a 20.7MP camera with an aperture of f/2.2, dual-color LED flash and laser-aided focus. The camera can record 4K video and can also shoot 100-fps slow-motion videos at 720p. The 6-element lens itself is also covered with Gorilla Glass 3 and in the front side of the device it has a 5MP camera and a brighter f/2.0 aperture for better low-light performance. The handset also features a fingerprint sensor.The MX5 has a special TEE security environment which can’t be accessed without a Meizu signature.
Connectivity wise the Meizu MX5 is a dual-SIM phone with LTE supported on both slots. The phone is also equipped with dual-band 802.11 ac/b/g/n Wi-Fi and Bluetooth 4.1. Available sensors include a Hall Effect sensor, gravity sensor, IR proximity sensor, gyroscope, ambient light sensor and compass. It is remarkable that the smartphone features a new mCharge technology and by the help of this tech you can charge 25% of battery in only 10 minutes.
The cost of the device has not been announced yet.
