Today a new budget smartphone named the Xolo Era has been launched by Xolo. The Xolo Era has a 5-inch IPS display with an FWVGA (480×854 pixels) resolution and a pixel density of 196 ppi. The smartphone is powered by a 1.2GHz quad-core processor. It runs on Android 4.4 KitKat OS.
In the rear side of the device it has an 8-megapixel autofocus camera with LED flash and in the front side it has 2-megapixel camera. The smartphone has 1GB of RAM and 8GB of internal storage that can be expanded up to 32GB via microSD card and a 2100mAh battery. The device also supports supports dual-SIM.
Connectivity wise the Xolo Era has GPRS/ EDGE, 3G, Wi-Fi 802.11 b/g/n with hotspot functionality, Bluetooth v4.0, FM radio, Micro-USB 2.0, USB-OTG and GPS/ A-GPS. Possibly the smartphone will arrive with a USB-OTG cable and back cover.
The price of the smartphone is Rs. 4,444 and will be available in Black colour variant. The registrations for the smartphone will begin on Thursday and will be exclusively available on Snapdeal.
According to a new report, Xolo is also going to launch the first ‘Black’ Premium smartphone later this week on July 10. It has tied up with Vodafone and considers that the smartphone will be showcased at Vodafone India stores across the country. In the rear side of the device it will be equipped with a dual-camera setup at the back with fast focus capabilities and it is also expected to feature a thin profile, a glass rear panel, smudge-free display, 4G LTE support. The smartphone will run on the new Hive 1.5 UI based on Android 5.1 Lollipop.
